CURRENT TRAINING OFFERINGS:
The CTC offers ongoing training classes in a variety of areas. You can find these (as well as other classes) offered on a regular rotation:
- OSHA-10 HOUR Training & Certification
The OSHA 10-hour training course provides many benefits to both workers and employees in the form of overall cost savings, complying with government regulations, winning more bids and generally having a healthier and safer workforce. Additionally, many states and local government agencies require all workers to have the OSHA 10 hour online training course before they can begin work on publicly funded jobs. States with this requirement include, New York, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Hampshire and Missouri for projects of varying sizes.
- HAZWOPER (Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response) 8-HOUR Refresher Course
Required annual training for the following:
Clean-up operations required by a governmental body, whether Federal, State or Local or other involving hazardous substances that are conducted at uncontrolled hazardous waste sites (including, but not limited to, the EPA’s National Priority Site List (NPL), state priority site lists, sites recommended for the EPA NPL, and initial investigations of government identified sites which are conducted before the presence or absence of hazardous substances has been ascertained).
- Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA) 8-Hour Refresher Course
Required for any of the following:
- Any worker employed at a mine site; either surface or underground mine.
- Any vendor providing service to a mine site.
- Any independent contractor performing work at a mine site.
- Welding Testing & Certifications (on-going – please call for scheduling)
