It does not matter.  As long as your driver’s license is current, you may take the course.

9. What do I need to bring to class?

1) Sturdy over-the-ankle low-heeled footwear (boots or high-top shoes). It is best to stay away from boots with very thick toes such as steel toed boots or high heels.
What will work: Motorcycle boots, cowboy boots and most hiking boots.
What will NOT work: Regular sneakers, (i.e., Converse basketball shoes are not "sturdy"). Basically any shoes that do not FULLY cover the ankle and/or are not sturdy will NOT work.
