In addition, the application requires a 2X2 inch photo of the applicant and criminal background checks with electronic fingerprinting are completed by the FBI and the Missouri Highway Patrol.  The date for the electronic fingerprinting will be arranged by the program administrator.  The student will fill out the registration online and will need on the date of fingerprinting a money order for $52.20.  the receipt for electronic fingerprinting is submitted with the application to the Missouri State Board of Nursing.

In order to be a Licensed Practical Nurse, one must graduate from an accredited practical nursing program, receive permission from the Board to take the NCLEX-PN, and then successfully pass the national computerized licensure examination (NCLEX-PN).

PLEASE NOTE THAT SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF A PRACTICAL NURSING PROGRAM DOES NOT GUARANTEE ELIGIBILITY TO TAKE THE NATIONAL COMPUTERIZED LICENSURE EXAMINATION FOR PRACTICAL NURSES (NCLEX-PN)
